Who are they?
We are a physical therapy haven specializing in the correction of symptoms related to pelvic floor dysfunction, pain during pregnancy, and postpartum wellness.
Why do we love working with them?
Some conditions require a multifaceted approach to correct, and pelvic floor conditions are among that list.
While we focus on correcting the structure of your pelvis, we love knowing that you’re in good hands at Under the Hood Physical Therapy addressing muscular imbalances that may be exacerbating or contributing to pelvic floor dysfunction.
How do I know if I might have pelvic floor problems?
You’ll need to receive an official diagnosis from Under the Hood Physical Therapy to know for sure, but some of the common signs of pelvic floor dysfunction include leaking of urine, pelvic pain during or after sex, loss of control of bowel movements, and pelvic organ prolapse (feeling like pelvic tissues are “falling out”).
If I had a c-section, doesn’t that mean I won’t experience pelvic floor problems?
Unfortunately, c-section births do not prevent pelvic floor dysfunction. No matter who you are or how many times you’ve been pregnant or given birth, you could find yourself experiencing pelvic floor problems.
Are women the only ones who experience pelvic floor dysfunction?
No. Anyone can find themselves experiencing pelvic floor problems.
How can I connect with them?
You can schedule a complimentary 10-minute phone consultation to help determine if you’d be a good candidate for treatment with Under the Hood Physical Therapy, PLLC.
